Flyers Injury Update: Ryan Parent

“Well with Ryan Parent sidelined with a groin strain, the Flyers signed defenseman David Sloane to an emergency 24-hour amateur contract. It was the only viable option for the Flyers, who are up against the salary cap. After the game, Sloane was returned to the AHL Phantoms, where he signed an amateur contract on March 17. Thursday night’s game against the Rangers was Sloane’s first as a pro.”

Yet another defender. Man wer are cursed this year on defenders. I swear just as this kid started to get some time under his belt and was doing better. Hopefully he will be back soon but we will see, who knows. We need him for sure.

Other Injuries:
• LW Riley Cote (finger surgery) is out for the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery on April 7. He was scheduled to miss 10-12 weeks from the date of surgery.
• D Derian Hatcher (right knee) is on long-term injury and unlikely to return this season.
