Flyers Close to Signing Tollefsen

Pending his passing of a physical today, Ole-Kristian Tollefsen will become a member of the Philadelphia Flyers defense corps. Reports are that Tollefsen will be playing with the big club, and not the Phantoms despite the number of defensemen the Flyers already have on the big league roster.  Tollefsen, 25, has decent size at 6’2″, 211-pounds. His problem is whether he can stay healthy or not. He missed most of last year for the Columbus Blue Jackets thanks to some chronic knee problems that require surgery. He recorded only one point in 19 games.

What does this mean?

For the past couple of days, their have been rumblings that the Flyers are interested in forwards Petr Sykora and Miroslav Satan. Sykora tallied 25 goals and 21 assists for 46 points as part of the Stanley Cup champions Pittsburgh Penguins. Satan scored 17 goals and had 19 assists for 46 points for the Pens.

In order for the Flyers to sign either Sykora or Satan, they’ll have to move another salary.  This move could mean the end to the “Randy Jones experiment,” which if it’s true would bring a ton of joy to the fans.

Tollefsen would save the Flyers $1.5 million, allowing them to possibly make a move on Satan or Sykora.

I would be happy thats for sure. Getting rid of Jones would put a smile on my face, but who would take him and would we just dump that salary?

Sykora or Satan would make me happy, I would take either! Prob Satan a bit more personally.
