The calm before the storm – Flyers

Well ladies and gents, I love to call this time of the year in hockey the Julius Caesar. And the reason why I call it that is because this is the time of year in which you will see teams starting to make their minds of as to which player they have out there on the trading block to get a position that they need. The person they feel is expendable. OUCH! I think this year Carter fits the bill, sorry Jeff but while you are good and help this team out at the same time if we can get a premiere goalie for you I would blow you a kiss goodbye in a heartbeat. Your A.D.D. and lack of being able to perform in a “WE NEED SOMEONE TO STEP IT UP MOMENT” is just so disheartening. To say you lost the Stanley Cup for us is very unfair and people should not make that assessment but the fact that you missed a WIDE OPEN NET in a game that would of put us at a comeback win and took it to game 7 is hardly a understatement. I dont know what it is with you or about you but I have yet to see you do anything in a big game. In Jr / College / AHL and now NHL.

If we can get Price from MTL I would tip my cap to you in a heart beat. The reason I say Carter is because hes one of few that do not have a “no trade” clause in his contract. And we could clear some salary cap with him. Although I have heard whispers of Giroux for Price and I just dont think I am willing to part with mini Forsberg. When I compare Giroux to Forsberg in no means do I make the assumption that he will be like him, he just reminds me of his play style. Can score a goal at any moment, can make an amazing pass at any moment, and is a great fore-checker / defensive player.

Let’s hope the Flyers can go out there and fill the gaps we need, who knows if Coburn will be back so we need to address that as well. Not only that but we need to sign those that are up. Heres a good website for that information
