Ian Laperriere out indefinitely

Ian Laperriere is out with a concussion, brain contusion, and broken orbital bone.

All injuries stem from the blocked shot in the clinching game of the Devils series.

Laperriere will not need surgery, but latest rumor has it that the injuries could keep him out for the rest of the Playoffs. Certainly not good news for the Flyers.

Yeah brotha I heard this news as well. Rough that will now be 3 people down 3 impact type players. Laperriere was a freak when it came to blocking those shots.

What do you think our chances are against either Wash or Bost?

    Who would you rather face?

Honestly, I’d rather face Washington. I don’t think their game translates well to the Playoffs, and with the way our defense has been playing I don’t see why we couldn’t contain the Caps offense, more than the Habs have at least. Plus the Caps defense is a mess so Giroux, Briere, Richards, and JVR could have a field day.

Boston scares me though. They know how to grind out games. Also Rask has proven numerous times this postseason hes an elite goalie. I just feel like a series against the Bruins would be such a toss up with how similar the Bruins and Flyers styles are, and that makes me nervous.

I agree man I would rather face Washington right now too. 7 game series could be tired hopefully they win tonight because if not then we are facing Boston whether we like it or not.

And with Savard coming back right now that could be a scary “sleeper” team. Either way the road from here on out is going to be very tough!

I have a nice joke. Why did the big moron fall off the roof and the little moron didn’t? Because he was a little more on.
