Phillies back to back sweeps!

Well we went to Petco Park with a HOT Padres team that won 10 straight at home.  We had Blanton, Bastardo, Happ pitching.  And if you would of told me that we would sweep them I would say theres a possibility but I’m not sure it will happen.  Well the Phillies did just that.  They got solid pitching from all three Pitchers and their bats as normal were swing swing swinging away.

Last night the Phills did their what seems to be normal anymore.  Putting runs up first in the first inning with a Ryan Howard 2 run knock.  The Phillies little by little continued to add on to that lead, while JA Happ was pitching a great game that went all the way through the 7th inning.   Pitching 2 walks, 4 strikeouts but only 4 hits and giving up a big fatt GOOSE EGG in the score column.

JC Romero came in the game in the 8th inning.  His first game back from serving his 50 game suspension.  He looked anxious and nervous but when calmed down a bit he looked really good.  How great is it to have Romero back.  Romero faced 1 hitter in the 9th got him out then Maddson came on to finish the Padres.  Phillies win by a score of 5-1.  How great do the Phillies look right now?  This is just awesome.  To make things even better everyone in our division lost yesterday, although the Mets game got rained out.  Although this still allowed us to take a 3 game lead in first place over them.

Coming up we take a short little trip over to LA to face the Dodgers for 4 games starting tonight at 10pm est time.  If we could take 3 of these 4 games I would be estatic!  Lets go Phillies!
