Joe Blanton….seriously Joe?  Really?  11 strike outs in 7 scoreless innings?  You only gave up 5 hits, damn son why not just do that every night?  But really now, did Joe Blanton look good or what?  That kid was in the zone last night and it was nice to see our pitching finally starting to do something here.  I hope I don’t jinx us in anyway once so ever but the past couple of outings here we have started to come around.  I wonder if it has anything to do what the fact that were going to be getting out of spring baseball and entering summer baseball soon?  Historically our baseball organization is KNOWN for pitching better in hotter months then colder months, esp this crew we have here.  (not that we have that many years to go on though)

So a great night pitching followed by a night in which only Shane and my boy Pedro were swinging the bats.  Still managed to ring up 5 on the board though.  Lets hope that tonight Brett Myers can set the tone for us.

Meanwhile in our division the Braves are now 2.5 games back while the Mets are biting at our heals again just waiting for us to make a mistake at 0.5 games back
