Freddie Mitchell (Fed-Ex) making a comeback?

Maybe it’s good thing that former Eagles receiver Freddie Mitchell had his (brief) day in the sun before social-media web sites became highly popular. We have a feeling that, if he were playing now, the guy would have been even more insufferable than he was when he was running his yap.Instead, he discovered Twitter and Facebook and blogging well after he faded to a position in the NFL landscape somewhere between irrelevance and “Hey, didn’t you used to play for the Seahawks?”

He’s using these devices to support his apparent plan for a comeback, despite being out of pro football for as many seasons as he was in it — four.

On both his blog and his Twitter feed, Mitchell claims that he’s ready to return to the field.

Then again, maybe he’s talking about the UFL. (Or maybe he’s just trying to sell something.)

Either way, it’s kind of a neat story. We just hope he remembers to thank his hands for typing all those blog entries and tweets.

Wow that is rather surprising.  Who would be crazy enough to take him?  Even after his nickname caught up to him and he tried to sell MaryJane and have it delivered Fed-Ex.  I don’t even know how this could ever happen.  Hey we don’t care at all but good luck to you Freddie.
