Brian Westbrook thumbs up for drafting a RB

Brian Westbrook says he would have “no problem” with the Eagles drafting a running back to help him shoulder the load.

Glad to see he is fine with this and voicing his opinion.  Sure makes things easier for the FO.  After losing Buckhalter to free agency it is a NEED that we get someone in there to help him with the load.  Of course we have Booker but lets be honest, he hasn’t proved himself yet.  I’m not knocking Booker at all, quite frankly I think the kid is rather talented and would love to see him get some more touches but at the same time, we need to always think of the future.  Something that we are very lucky with, the fact that our TEAM, Eagles, continue to remain young and still able to compete for the Super Bowl.  Not many teams can do that.

As for who we should get, well that’s all a matter of opinion.  To throw mine out there, I say if there’s anyway that Knowshon Moreno is there at our pick (21) we need to gobble him up ASAP.  This kid is a TRUE running back, hes got some great hands, hes a good blocker, and hes the PERFECT fit for Brian Westbrook.  Other running backs are Chris “Beanie” Wells (OSU), Donald Brown (UConn), Leasean McCoy (Pitt) all in which could be available at our 21 / 28 pick.  But my mind is already made up I would love to see us do nothing more but to get Moreno.  This video below should say it all.  Total PACKAGE!
