I was updating this injury post throughout the day, but the most recent news is too big for a small update.

Gagne out three weeks, and Carter is done for the rest of the Playoffs.

Both will have surgery Friday, Carter will have a plate put in.

The worst part about this situation is that Carter was finally hitting his stride. He had two goals in Game 4 and put together a strong sixty minutes.

Now Briere will likely be moved back to center which not only makes us weak up the middle defensively, but it also thins out our wingers.

One positive coming out of this situation is that JVR and Giroux will get even bigger minutes, and that will do nothing but help their progression.
