Phillies game 2 recap

Well while I could not have the pleasure of watching this game due to living in the Poconos it was blacked out for some reason. Comcast was nice enough to play the Sixers rather then the defending runner up World Series Phillies. You know, because the Sixers have a chance to keep losing and get a better draft pick or something…To be honest I have no clue why but I tell you what I cannot stand…

Flipping up one channel to YES and seeing that in the state of Pennsylvania I have no problem getting a YANKEE game. And to add more insult to injury, if I go up on more channel its SNY the METS now isnt that just great….I’m so sorry but really? Seriously? (my acceptance speech) First I would like to thank all of you NY’ers for moving down here and tainting our lovely Poconos. Thank you so much for bringing that NY CHARM and that wonderful attitude. Oh yeah, and lets not forget complaining till yo were all red in the face for SYN and YES networks. THANKS!

Well back to the game, Cole was on the mound and I wanted to see how he did more then anything. And needless to say he did not do as well as I would of liked to of seen him do. And I’m fairly sure I do not stand alone on this point. Sure you can argue saying he averaged a strike out an inning, and yes thats good but lets remember something here. This kid was our ACE before Lee / Halladay came along. Not too good from your “ACE”. He threw 103 pitches and 63 of them were strikes. Wow, from someone of his caliber / hype he should be pitching 3 strikes for ever ball. Right now hes at like 2.3/2.5 – 1. We need to change that number.

Other then that everything we as expected Phillies struggled at the plate I would say even though they managed to knock in 8 runs it just feels like they never got in that “Philly” rhythm. Yet another win starting off 2-0 but I think this was expected.

Good win good game cannot wait for the next! GO Phills!
