Well after a good training camp and 2 good preseason games Eagles first round draft pick Brandon Graham has been promoted to the 1st line. The 13th overall pick in the 2010 draft edges himself ahead of Juqua Parker on the depth chart.

Roy Oswalt officially a Phillies member

Posted by fanofphilly on Thursday, July 29th, 2010

The deal is done, Roy Oswalt (RHP) is officially a Philadelphia Phillies member. Piecing this together, it appears the Astros send Oswalt and $11MM to the Phillies for Happ, Gose, and Villar, with the Phils potentially adding $1MM to Oswalt’s buyout but not exercising his option.
Little background and bio about him for those who [...]

How about those COME BACK kids!!!

Posted by fanofphilly on Sunday, April 12th, 2009

Same team up to their same ole tricks. Nice to see us squeek out that win tonight. I was so wrong in thinking that he was going to come out and just have a great game. I’m going to stop guessing whats going to happen (really I won’t but still, I should) everytime I do its usually the complete 360. So pretty much Park comes in and throws a great series vs the FIRST batter, after that it wasn’t pretty. He gave up 4 in the first then another in the 2nd. I do expect to see a lot more of him this year though thats for sure. Hes a heck of a pitcher. we chip away and get the game finally to 5-5 then in the ninth inning Matt Stairs (our savior) comes in and knocks a two run homer putting us ahead 7-5. Then Lights out Lidge comes in to get the save. You know, the normal 2008 way we finished a game! Some things never change, and if it aint broke don’t fix it!!!

Our bats were good as normal and the Mets lost to boot! Marlins are looking good fella’s but so were the Nats last year right?

  1. Walter Spencer Says:

4 former Phillies starters pitched for other teams yesterday. Randy Wolf gave up two hits and one run in 7 innings. Kevin Milwood threw 7 shot out innings (although his bullpen blew the game). Kyle Lohse had a complete game 3 hit shutout. Adam Eaton, the $17 million mistake who replaced Lohse, took 100 pitches to get thru 4 innings, giving up 4 runs for the Orioles. Chan Ho Park, who replaced Eaton, gave up 5 runs in less than 4 innings for the Phils. Is there a pattern here?

Lets hope that Park strikes back, I love this kid and think he has something going for him. Glad to see him in our uniform though. In the meantime Kurt Schilling sat back and had a daiquiri while laughing it up!

Thats our luck though Walt, I mean how many times can we say “they stunk while they were here, but when they left they became much much better”. If I had a dollar for every time I heard that!
