Kidding, well kidding about the “the end” part. \u00a0We did indeed sweep those Mets. \u00a0Although I have a quick tiff, did they think they were cool coming into our city and our park wearing a RED HAT?<\/p>\n
Game 1: \u00a0Rodrigo Lopez stepped on the mound for the first time in over 2 years in a MLB game. \u00a0Lopez took a three-hitter into the seventh inning, helping the Philadelphia Phillies snap a six-game home losing streak with a 7-2 victory over the New York Mets on Friday night.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m pretty happy, pretty excited,\u201d Lopez said. \u201cBeing out for two years, it was a long way to go, a long battle. I didn\u2019t know it would take this long.\u201d<\/p>\n
Can’t really complain here pitching went well and Phillies start the series off 1-0 with a 7-2 win.<\/p>\n
Game 2: \u00a0Moyer (7-6) allowed one run and five hits in 6 1-3 innings to win his third straight start. The 46-year-old Moyer tied Carl Hubbell for 42nd on the all-time list with his 253rd career win. \u00a0While the Phillies trotted off to yet another win against the Rival Mets with a score 4-1 and going up in this three game series 2-0<\/p>\n
Game 3: \u00a0Fans were screaming out for the BROOMS! \u00a0And sure enough there was a great sale on brooms. \u00a0While Blanton MAN HANDLED the whole Mets struggling roster and Santana held his own against the Phillies. \u00a0Rollins cracked a homer to start the game off followed but a Utley homer later in the game. \u00a0Phillies hold on for the sweep with a 2-0 win.<\/p>\n
