Well with Christmas right around the corner and with 2 very active children to shop for time has been scarce as of late.\u00a0 I will again summarize whats going on with the Flyers \/ Sixers \/ Phillies …. Eagles will require their own post.<\/p>\n

SIXERS<\/strong>
\nAlthough while the Sixers have won a game they have also lost too.\u00a0 Not only just in the W \/ L column but also Iverson being injured right now.\u00a0 While his injury is nothing serious more less a “lets not take a chance” he should be back in action soon.\u00a0 Sixers seem to be trading wins and losses right now which is keeping them from totally sucking.\u00a0 Now they just still suck.\u00a0 Hopefully they can start notching a few more wins and try to catch back up to .500 here.\u00a0 Speights is back in action which is great, and he looks like a man on a mission right now.\u00a0 Hopefully he can help push the Sixers above or at least equal to how they should be playing.\u00a0 Time will tell us now.<\/p>\n

FLYERS<\/strong>
\nFlyers are stinking up the bed right now.\u00a0 Richards called the team out for not having enough heart and thats part of it.\u00a0 The other part of it is what they have done to shoot themselves in the foot.\u00a0 And I don’t only mean the team, I also mean the management.\u00a0 Lets take a look at some of those that we got rid of in the last year or two.\u00a0 I’m not going to name everyone but heres just some names that ring a bell in my head.<\/p>\n

Lupul = 10 goals\u00a0 4 asst with a +3 (Ducks) – on a team that scores goals + assists like its going out of style.<\/p>\n

Upshall = 10 goals 6 asst with a +1 (Coyotes)\u00a0 2nd on his team in GOALS!!!<\/p>\n

Knuble = 6 goals with 11 assists\u00a0 with a +7 (Capitals)\u00a0 He has a +7 wow really?<\/p>\n

Now lets take a look at our boy Daniel Carcillo that we traded away Scottie Upshall and a 2nd rnd draft pick for.\u00a0 Let me add one Scottie Upshall that did NOT want to leave this city.\u00a0 So Dan Carcillo in which we were told will be a fan favorite so far has this:<\/p>\n

Carcillo – 3 goald 4 asst with a +3 (Flyers)<\/p>\n

But lets remember he has 96 PIM which is 2nd in the league next too Tampa Bay’s\u00a0 Zenon Konopka<\/a> who is killing everyone with 135 PIM.\u00a0 But lets not forget a few things here.\u00a0 The Philadelphia Flyers winger delivered a sucker punch to Washington Capitals\u2019 Matt Bradley which has ended up costing him 4 days in suspensions plus a whopping 29 minutes in penalties.\u00a0 What a bad night for Philly since they lost 8-2 on home ice.\u00a0 Carcillo is \u201cthe first player in NHL history to draw 29 minutes in penalties without drawing a single minute from his opponent.\u201d\u00a0 What a honor and something that will surely make him a fan favorite right Holmgerm? (notice Holmgren’s spelling i made)\u00a0 This guy has been one of the biggest disappointments and a “WTF were you thinking” since it happened.\u00a0 And I quote what he said coming here last year, “I hope to cut down my PIM and start attributing more to this team”.\u00a0 Right… thanks!<\/p>\n

Pardon my french here… Flyers need to get their heads out of their asses and start doing what their paid to do before we have another season go down the drains!<\/p>\n

PHILLIES<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nothing new here besides the Phillies made official what was pretty evident all along, exercising Jimmy Rollins’ $8.5 million option for the 2011 season. This ensures that seven of the team’s eight projected regulars will be under club control for the next two seasons, the lone exception being right fielder Jayson Werth, who will be a free agent after this year.\u00a0 Good to see this happen and maybe they can even get something done with Werth if he doesnt want the kitchen sink after making an all-star apperance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
