The Eagles’ revamped offensive line, which has been decimated by injuries at training camp, won’t be together at the start of the season, either.<\/p>\n
Left guard Todd Herremans will have surgery to repair a stress fracture of the navicular bone in his left foot today, coach Andy Reid said after last night’s preseason win. Herremans will miss “obviously a couple of games,” Reid said.<\/p>\n
“We’ll see how it goes after the surgery with what the doctor says,” Reid said.<\/p>\n
The injury initially was diagnosed as a stress reaction and Herremans was fitted with a walking boot. Reid said the doctors could not identify the fracture until the swelling went down.<\/p>\n
The status of right tackle Shawn Andrews (back) also is unknown for the Sept. 13 opener against Carolina. Reid said Andrews will likely practice at least a little tomorrow. “We’ll see how he progresses here,” Reid said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
